Edin played youth soccer through the Bonivital Soccer Club and captained the U18 Bonivital team. He was a member of the U15 and U16 provincial teams. In 2006, Edin was named WYSA and Bonivitals youth player of the year and also recieved the WYSA scholarship for soccer and academics in 2006. Edin began training with Hellas S.C. when he was 17 and began playing at the age of 18.Hellas S.C. were provincial champions for the past two years and the 2009 Canadian National Champions. At 19 Edin was named Hellas S.C. MVP.People describe Edin as a crafty but simple player and that the ball sticks to his feet, hence why he has gained the nickname “snake” because he can slither through tight spaces. His favourite team is Chelsea and his favourite player id Edin Dzeko.
