Starting at the young age of 6 years old, Nano, a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, began a life-long love of soccer. Nano has played with many teams both locally and internationally and has many accomplishments including:
Recognized by the U-17 Canadian National Team plus member of several provincial teams 1988-1991
U-16 Northwest Silver medalists at club nationals (1991)
Played with Colo-Colo as a juvenile (1992)
Nominated to U-20 Chilean National team (1993-1994)
Top player in his position in ANFP (1993-1997)
Rangers 1st division ANFP (1992-1997)
Nubleanse 2nd division in ANFP (1998)
Linares 2nd division Chilean Professional Soccer Association ANFP (1997-1998)
Played with Sons of Italy (2001);Soko l (2001-2005); Lusetaina (2007) and Lucania (2006 and 2008 – present)
Nano’s most memorable moment was in 1996 playing with the Rangers against Fernadez Vial when he played against Mario Kempes (1978 Golden Boot Award Winner). Another highlight was the final of the 1996 Chilean Cup (Rangers vs Colo-Colo) played in front of 60,000 spectators.
This is Nano’s first year playing with the Alliance and he spends his free time with his wife and children. He works as a transit operator. His idol is Diego Armando Maradona and his father is his hero. Nano’s favourite saying is “To live from soccer you have to live for soccer”.
